Buckle up. Everything’s going to get more expensive. No matter who wins.
With Kamala
Your taxes won’t go down, they’ll likely go up. Much like other Dems who have promised middle class tax cuts…then taxed the middle class higher.
Why?
Because you can’t get money out of poor people and you’re not touching rich people’s money. So, middle class is where it’s gotta come from.
With Trump
You’re going to pay a lot more for products than you already are. His tariffs on imported goods are big.
Why?
Companies aren’t going to spend the (massive, long term) money to move their manufacturing back here and pay American wages. They’re just going to charge consumers more to cover the costs.
So, either way, come 2025, you’re going to be out more money. Our political system needs an overhaul that’s not a 2 party system.
But honestly, not sure that will even help. The ultra wealthy are going to run the show no matter who the figurehead is. Rough times.
